Now in its second year, the East Side Garden Walk encompasses the entire East Side. In 2018, there were 42 gardens, and 2019 promises even more. Gardening on Buffalo’s East Side has a unique ambiance often with an organic, natural aura which is representative of the lifestyle of many of its residents. The garden tour is free and self-guided. Maps will be available at the downtown libraries Central, Crane, Dudley, East Clinton, East Delavan, Frank E. Merriweather Jr., Niagara, North Park, and Riverside or at this link: https://gardensbuffaloniagara.com/events/events-calendar/event:07-21-2018-10-00am-east-side-garden-walk/.
Below are links to five of 54 additional gardens open on Saturday for the Walk. They are not very far from Saint John Kanty, so pick some sites and have a great day in the garden(s)…it is truly amazing what can be created in space that needs some love and care!
