Both Mr. and Mrs. Solecki worked at Saint John Kanty Church in the 1960’s-early ’70’s, and their children Richard (’61) and Barbara (’69) are graduates of the school.  The following quote is from a September, 2009 story in the Buffalo News: ‘On a February morning in 1940 the 14 year old Solecki began a trip to a Siberian work camp with others from the nearby towns and villages. They were loaded into cattle cars and had no idea where they were going. People broke out in song.’  ‘She remembers voices joining others from one car to the next, until the song about trusting the Lord could be heard coming from all the cars that lined the tracks.’

The family worships at our Sunday Mass.
