Heritage Mass Week 2 is at SJK THIS WEEKEND!
From Fr Cole, as published in the bulletin:
“As we begin Lent the parishes of St. John Gualbert, St. John Kanty/Adalbert, and St. Stanislaus are getting out of their comfort zones by uniting together in prayer. Soon the parishioners of these parishes will constitute one newly formed body of Christ. The name of the newly formed community will be called St. Stanislaus which will be comprised of the St. Stanislaus worship site, the St. Adalbert worship site, and the St. John Gualbert worship site. As the structure of many of the parishes within our Family of Parishes changes, may we use this Lenten Season as an opportunity for our own spiritual renewal. Say “hello” to someone you don’t know. As you worship in a church that may be unfamiliar to you, remember it is a church precious to others. As we are united by Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, I hope and pray with all my heart that unity becomes evident in Christ’s Body, in all of us, the Church located here in the Greater East Buffalo area.
St John Gualbert’s last weekend as an independent parish is scheduled for April 27, and St John Kanty’s is May 18. Both Pastoral Councils are planning something special to commemorate those weekends. Rest assured, much more information will be shared about our upcoming mergers.”
Please note: As indicated…Mass times for the Heritage Masses at each of the churches are
4:30 on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. on Sunday (Polish) and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The regular Mass schedule for each church will return the weekend of March 29/30.
