OUR FAMILY BULLETIN LISTS MANY OTHER EVENTS GOING ON IN OUR GREATER EAST BUFFALO FAMILY…and there are many!

As previously announced: with the approval of Fr. Cole the Trustees and Parish Council worked together to submit a counter proposal to the Diocese to appeal its recommendation and keep Saint John Kanty/Saint Adalbert active and strong. We feel that our dramatic economic turnaround this fiscal year with a sound plan for the next year, coupled with our upward-trending vitality, high visibility location, parishioner engagement and historic/architectural value, merit reconsideration.

The meeting with Road to Renewal representatives will take place the afternoon of August 12. Please pray for our representatives: Jennifer Snyder-Haas and Tod Kniazuk as well as a favorable outcome for our church!

Mass Intentions

Please consider having a Mass said for your loved one! Remember those who have passed away, for special occasions (birthdays/anniversaries), and for those who are ill. Mass intentions are now available for our Saturday Vigil Mass!

There are many Mass dates still available in 2024. Intentions may be for the living, deceased (noted by a Cross in the bulletin), or a special intention. The suggested donation is $15 for a Mass.

Contact the rectory (716/893-0412) weekday mornings between 8:00-11:00 to schedule your intentions…or go to this link: www.saintjohnkanty.com/mass-intentions/

THANK YOU for your continued support to our parish…we truly appreciate it!

If you would like to offer a one-time or recurring gift to help sustain our ministries, go to the “donate” tab on this website or scan the QR code below with your smartphone. With a reasonable level of regular support, we can keep our parish active and strengthen it for the future. ” – Fr Cole Webster

SATURDAY VIGIL MASS HAS RETURNED!

ON AUGUST 10 AT 5:30 P.M. the Mass takes place at Saint Adalbert’s!

Saturday Mass returns to SJK on August 17!

Mass Intentions can be made by phoning the rectory mornings between 8:30-10:30 (716/893-0412). Please attend the Vigil Masses if you can…and bring a friend!

The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated every year on August 15 and commemorates the death of Mary and her bodily assumption into Heaven, before her body could begin to decay—a foretaste of our own bodily resurrection at the end of time. Because it signifies the Blessed Virgin’s passing into eternal life, it is the most important of all Marian feasts as well as being a Holy Day of Obligation.

Bring flowers and herbs from your gardens to church to be blessed. It is believed that this gesture is a sign asking Our Blessed Mother
to bless the upcoming harvest season with a bountiful crop from the fields.

See the bulletin for a list of Masses at all churches on August 14 and 15.
