OUR FAMILY BULLETIN LISTS MANY OTHER EVENTS GOING ON IN OUR GREATER EAST BUFFALO FAMILY…and there are many! Also…please read more about The Alpha Program in Fr Cole’s weekly message!
Alpha is 21 days away beginning Tuesday, September 17th. Participate in the 21 day prayer campaign. On a sheet of paper, write down the name of 3 people you think could benefit from Alpha. Every day at the same time of the day, pray for those 3 people. Be open and expectant to see how God might use you in inviting them. The week of September 1 share the flyer on Alpha, that your parish is providing, with each of these 3 people. Invite them to consider attending. (It would be more effective if you offered to accompany them to Alpha). (Note: we are not asking them to commit to all 11 weeks, we want them to “come and see”. If they can’t make the first week thenthey attend the 2nd. They are free to come and go as needed.)
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are looking for volunteers to help with our Family Alpha. This program will run every Tuesday from Sept. 17th – November 26th at 6PM at St. Kathrine Drexel. Saturday, November 9th we will have a Buffalo Diocese Retreat at St. Phillip’s Church in South Cheektowaga. We are looking for folks to invite friends and family, donate food for the sessions, cook food, set up, help with setting up the video, prayer team welcoming folks, help with small groups, advertising and clean up. We will have a training for volunteers on Thursday, September 5th @6PM at St. Katharine Drexel ‘s Rectory. Please call Kelly Ann -716-830-4981 to volunteer or to ask questions.
Mass Intentions
Please consider having a Mass said for your loved one! Remember those who have passed away, for special occasions (birthdays/anniversaries), and for those who are ill. Mass intentions are now available for our Saturday Vigil Mass!
There are many Mass dates still available in 2024. Intentions may be for the living, deceased (noted by a Cross in the bulletin), or a special intention. The suggested donation is $15 for a Mass.
Contact the rectory (716/893-0412) weekday mornings between 8:00-11:00 to schedule your intentions…or go to this link: www.saintjohnkanty.com/mass-intentions/
