FEAST OF ST ANTHONY OF PADUA…A NICE CELEBRATION ON JUNE 13!

On Saturday, June 13 St John Kanty Parish Community recognized and celebrated the Feast of St Anthony of Padua. There were a number of new faces in the pews, and the homily offered by Msgr Robert Golombek, former Pastor of SJK, was thought provoking, to the point, and short. A prayer to St Anthony was read during Meditation. The blessing of the bread for distribution to those present was reminiscent of the days when on Thanksgiving Day small loaves of bread were blessed and passed out to those attending Thanksgiving Day Mass. Here is a thought: maybe each month we could have the celebration of a Saint’s Feast Day?
