AT MASS ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 15, 10:30 A.M.: ANOINTING OF THE SICK

Chrism Oils

The Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens, and the Chrism Oil are blessed by Bishop Malone during Easter week

Join us for Mass at 10:30 a.m.  on Sunday, January 15 when Fr Paul Sabo will offer Anointing of the Sick following Mass. This sacrament is to aid those who are suffering from illness of body, mind or spirit. Winter and aging can complicate our ability to be well. It is open to all who are suffering in any of these areas. There are many in our parish community who are suffering and the church is here to aid us in these times of trial in our lives.

Anointing of the Sick is associated not only with bodily healing but forgiveness of sins. The anointing of the sick person is done on the forehead with the prayer ‘Through this Holy Anointing may the Lord in his love and mercy help you with the grace of the Holy Spirit’, and on the hands with the prayer ‘May the Lord who frees you of sin save you and raise you up’. This Sacrament may be received more than once.

All are welcome…bring a friend who may benefit from receiving this special grace.

Following this Mass all are invited to enjoy a Polish platter dinner in Kanty’s Kitchen: serving homemade cheese pierogi, Dubel’s fresh and smoked sausage, lazy pierogi, lazy galobki, rye bread, coffee and dessert. Presale: $12; at door: $13. Takeout available.
