Bulletin-1-6-19

Welcome 2019, and looking forward to an exciting year here with Saint John Kanty Parish Community!

This Sunday is Epiphany, the Feast of the Three Kings. According to the Gospel of Matthew, the three wise men – named Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar – followed the star of Bethlehem across the desert to meet the baby Jesus, offering gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The gifts were symbolic of the importance of Jesus’ birth, the gold representing his royal standing; frankincense his divine birth; and myrrh his mortality. Take home a package containing these gifts in memory of the gifts of the Magi. Read the bulletin for further information on the meaning.

Society meetings: Holy Name on Monday January 8; Rosary Society Sunday January 13. Further info is in the bulletin.
