We have received a payment from Upon This Rock in amount of $782.78.  The monies received will help defray our maintenance costs. Upon This Rock payments are made to the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo – NOT the Diocese of Buffalo. Pledge payments cannot be used for settlements or legal fees associated with the sex abuse scandal. Please use remittance envelopes provided with the pledge reminders. The envelopes deliver payments directly to the bank. Further, we realize cost savings if parishioners set up Electronic Fund Transfers through their credit cards or bank accounts. Once pre-authorized payments are set up, there is no need to send pledge reminders. It is never too late for parishioners to contribute to Upon This Rock. Anyone making a new pledge should include your parish name on the pledge card so proper credit is allocated. This is a good point to emphasize when registering new parishioners. Pledge cards are available at the Upon The Rock office or contact our Parish Office for more information.

Is your mouth watering for homemade pierogi and placek from Kanty’s Kitchen? This year’s Lenten Pierogi & Placek sale begins the weekend of March 9-10. Kanty’s Kitchen will be open from 3-5 Saturdays and 9:30-noon Sundays for you to purchase some delicious Polish comfort foods. The sale is our largest and most successful fundraiser for parish needs, so spread the word to family and friends to not only come to Kanty’s Kitchen but to join us for Mass! From Fr Mike: “I can guarantee that there is something special about Polish pierogi. The best ones in the area will be available at Saint John Kanty during Lent.”

Have a great week…Lent is just around the corner, and Spring cannot be far away!
