Building Repurpose Committee: Over the past year this committee has been meeting to discuss a reuse of the former school building. This has resulted in issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit and review specific development ideas and plans, a concept that has the support and guidance of Fr Mike and the Diocese of Buffalo. As you can imagine the upkeep of the building, which is largely unused, is a financial burden to the parish. The time seems right to explore other ownership options that would enhance our parish and be sensitive to the importance of the areas of the building we currently use for our parish activities and fundraisers. All sales proceeds would go to our parish. We will keep you informed as this process unfolds.

For further information, and to read the RFP, go to this link: http://www.saintjohnkanty.com/news/saint-john-kanty-church-seeking-developer-for-its-former-school-building-in-buffalos-broadway-fillmore-area/

Mass Intentions: Remember your loved ones who have passed away, for special occasions and for those who are ill. In the Diocese of Buffalo, $15 is the recommended offering per Mass intention. To request a Mass Intention, you may contact us in one of these ways:
 Complete the form on the parish website
 Call 716-893-0412 Monday-Friday 9am-noon (or leave a message)
 Drop your intention in the collection basket
 Visit the parish office Monday-Friday 9am-noon

You can also inquire about Mass Intentions via the e-form on the church website: http://www.saintjohnkanty.com/mass-intentions/.

Thanksgiving Day: the fourth Thursday in November…it is a time to pause and give thanks for the bounty of our country and to gather to celebrate the season. Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday dinner. … “Thanksgiving is important as it’s a time to stop and think of all the things in our life we are thankful to enjoy.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
